Privacy Policy

The short version Your video and any measurements you mark stay on your device. Nothing about the pitcher, the video, or the analysis is ever sent to a server. The only data leaving your browser is an anonymous page-visit count.

What never leaves your device

Mound Metrics AI runs entirely client-side, in your browser. When you upload a video, it is loaded directly into the browser and processed there by an on-device pose-detection model. There is no upload step, no video storage server, and no account for us to attach a video to even if we wanted to.

Any frames you mark, joint positions, angles, or measurements
Pitcher height, age range, throwing hand, and saved athlete/analysis names

These are stored using your browser's built-in local storage (IndexedDB / localStorage), on your device only. They persist between visits so you can reload a saved analysis, and they're removed if you clear your browser's site data for this page. We have no way to see, access, or recover this data — it never reaches us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to count page visits. It only loads after you accept the consent banner shown on your first visit — if you decline, no analytics script loads and nothing is sent to Google.

What GA4 collects (only with consent)

Page views and session duration
Browser type, operating system, and device type
Referring website (where you came from)
Approximate geographic location (city-level, not precise)

What GA4 never collects

Your video file or any video frames
Your measurements, angles, or analysis data
Pitcher names, ages, or athlete information
Anything you type inside the app

We've configured GA4 to anonymize IP addresses and disable ad personalization and Google Signals (no advertising profiles are built from this data). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's local storage, which brings the banner back on your next visit, or by adjusting your Google Account privacy settings.

No accounts, no login

There is nothing to sign up for. We don't collect names, emails, or any other personal information, and there's no server-side database of users.

Third parties

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads the pose-detection model from the jsDelivr CDN. Both may log basic technical request data (like IP address) as part of normal web infrastructure operation — this is standard for any website and outside our control, and is covered by their own policies, not ours. If you accept the analytics consent banner, Google Analytics also receives the visit data described above, governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

The app includes an age-range option for describing a pitcher being analyzed, which is not the same as collecting data from a child user. No personal information about any pitcher, of any age, is collected or transmitted by this app.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
